Water Conservation

We promote responsible water usage and implement measures to conserve water resources. We assess our water consumption, invest in water-efficient technologies, and encourage employees to practice water-saving habits.

Design for Environment (DfE)

We integrate environmental considerations into our product design and development processes. We aim to minimize the environmental impact of our products throughout their lifecycle, collaborating with suppliers and partners to source sustainable materials and components.

Ethical Business Practices

We conduct business with integrity, honesty, and transparency, adhering to laws and regulations. We uphold high ethical standards in all our dealings.

Supplier Relations

We encourage fair treatment and ethical practices within our supply chain, including fair wages, safe working conditions, and responsible sourcing of materials.

Consumer Protection

We are committed to providing safe and high-quality products or services, transparent communication with customers, and responsiveness to their needs and feedback.

Community Engagement

We support local communities through volunteerism, charitable donations, and partnerships with non-profit organizations. We aim to address social issues and improve the quality of life in the communities we operate in.

Employee Well-Being

We prioritize creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive work environment that promotes employee health, diversity, equity, and professional development opportunities.

Corporate Governance

We uphold strong corporate governance principles to ensure accountability, fairness, and transparency in decision-making processes. This includes executive compensation and shareholder rights.

Stakeholder Engagement

We believe in open communication and collaboration with all stakeholders, including shareholders, employees, customers, suppliers, and the broader community. We aim to address concerns and promote mutual understanding.

Continuous Improvement

We regularly review and update our Energy and Environmental Policy to align with emerging best practices and technologies. We encourage employee engagement and set measurable targets to monitor our progress towards achieving our energy and environmental goals.

By implementing this Energy and Environmental Policy, with a focus on Design for Environment, we aim to create a sustainable future for our organization and contribute to a healthier planet. Together, we can make a difference.

This policy and the related objectives and targets shall be reviewed, annually at least, by management, to monitor progress and to ensure the continual suitability and effectiveness of the system.

Zgonic Design for Environment Commitment

Zgonic is a global leader in Workspace Technology, focusing on maximizing the effectiveness of technology in the workplace. Our commitment to sustainability is reflected in our Design for Environment (DfE), which outlines our principles and guidelines for creating a greener future. Here are some key highlights within or product life cycle consideration.

Life cycle thinking

DfE emphasizes the importance of considering the entire life cycle of a product or service, from raw material extraction to end-of-life disposal. This approach enables the identification of environmental hotspots and opportunities for improvement throughout the product’s life cycle.

Renewable Materials

During our product development, we would avoid or minimize the use of hazardous or toxic substances. We prioritize sustainability by harnessing the inherent renewability of metal through its recyclability. By designing products with high-quality metals that can be infinitely recycled without degradation, we ensure minimal environmental impact and contribute to a circular economy.

Recycled Materials

We would strive to use recyclable materials and minimize the use of thermoset or mixed polymers. Incorporating recycled materials, such as recycled plastics, into product manufacturing to reduce the demand for virgin materials and divert waste from landfills.

Recyclable and Biodegradable Material

Designing products using materials that are easily recyclable or biodegradable at the end of their life cycle, facilitating responsible disposal and reducing environmental pollution. Implementing manufacturing processes that prioritize the use of recyclable or biodegradable materials, as well as exploring innovative materials with enhanced recyclability and biodegradability properties.

END-OF-LIFE MANAGEMENT

We would promote the recycling of parts by using recyclable materials, avoiding polluting elements that interfere with the recycling process, avoid threaded metal inserts in plastic and avoid plated metal. Designing products with disassembly in mind, using fasteners or modular components to facilitate easy separation of materials for recycling or refurbishment.

Waste reduction and recycling

DfE aims to minimize waste generation and promote recycling. Design products with the goal of reducing waste and ensuring that materials can be easily disassembled and recycled at the end of their life. Implementing closed-loop systems and utilizing recycled materials can also contribute to waste reduction.

Collaboration and stakeholder engagement

Collaboration with stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and industry partners, is vital in DfE. Engaging these stakeholders allows for the sharing of best practices, knowledge, and resources. It also enables the development of innovative solutions that address environmental challenges collectively.

Regulatory compliance

Adhering to environmental regulations and standards is a fundamental aspect of DfE. Designing products and processes that comply with applicable environmental laws ensures that environmental impacts are minimized and legal requirements are met.

Continuous improvement

DfE is an ongoing process that requires continuous improvement. Regular monitoring, measurement, and evaluation of environmental performance are essential. Setting targets for improvement, tracking progress, and implementing feedback loops help drive continuous innovation and environmental sustainability.

By considering these important aspects within DfE, companies can integrate environmental considerations into their design processes, reduce their environmental footprint, and contribute to a more sustainable future.

This policy and the related objectives and targets shall be reviewed, annually at least, by management, to monitor progress and to ensure the continual suitability and effectiveness of the system.
